Exercise Tips for Pinched Nerves in the Hip

A pinched nerve in the hip causes prolonged pain which, if left untreated, can cause other risks. In order not to get worse, you can do the right number of exercises.

One of them is an exercise or workout for the glutes or glutes, which are the largest muscles around the buttocks, hips and thighs. The following exercise tips for a pinched nerve in the hip :

  • Stretch the glutes
  • The glutes or gluteal muscles are the muscles in the buttocks area. They are closely related to many causes of hip pain. The tension in these muscles can also worsen low back pain. Use the following exercise to stretch your glutes by sitting on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Bend your right knee and cross your right leg over your left knee. Then, move your right heel close to your left buttock, keeping your right foot flat on the floor. Grab your right arm behind you and let your fingers touch the floor behind.

Next, place your left hand on your right knee. Slowly, pull your right knee to the left until you feel a stretch in the buttocks and hips area. Then, hold it for 15 to 30 seconds. Release and repeat slowly on the other side.

  • Whole body stretch
  • All the muscles of the body work together. Therefore, having good flexibility in all muscle groups can help avoid pinched nerves and muscle-related pain.

Try these relaxing and invigorating movements to stretch the various muscles in the body. First, stand straight with your feet hip-width apart. Knees should be bent slightly, not locked. Then, inhale and slowly bend forward at the hips.

Lower your head gently to the floor and focus on keeping your upper body relaxed. The next step, hold the back of the lower leg with your hands. Hold for 30 seconds while breathing deeply, and slowly get up to stand again. Repeat according to your ability.
